Lizzie is an Endorsed Midwife and Registered Nurse providing compassionate, comprehensive care to women throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period at Southern Star Medical Centre. Lizzie’s approach to midwifery has been shaped by a strong foundation in holistic healthcare, having grown up around her family’s medical practice. She was drawn to midwifery through an interest in women’s health and a desire to empower and support families during one of life’s most significant and transformative experiences.
Lizzie has worked across emergency and tertiary maternity services, including antenatal, birth suite, postnatal, and home visiting care. Working within multidisciplinary teams has strengthened her appreciation for collaborative care and the range of services available to support women and families.
In a Shared Care Model, Lizzie provides antenatal care from early pregnancy and postnatal care up to 7 weeks after birth, with referral pathways for hospital labour and birth. As an Endorsed Midwife, she can prescribe approved medications and order diagnostic tests. All appointments are bulk billed through Medicare, and no referral is required.
